Who Am I Anyway? And What Am I Doing Here?

It never fails, every time I’ve sat down and attempted to write this, writer’s block set in.

It’s like when you’re at an interview and you get asked that dreaded question, “So, tell me about yourself.”

No matter how many interviews I’ve been on or how many times I’ve gotten asked that question or even how often I’ve practiced what I’d say beforehand, it’s never gotten any easier.

I find its much the same with this.

As before, I ask the question, “So what do they want to know?”

Well, I’ll tell you what I think and you can let me know in the comment section if I got it right.

How does my experience or what I’ve experienced in my life apply?  What can I contribute that might be of interest to you, dear reader?

When I was in a writing class some years ago, (I won’t tell you how many.  I’ll leave that up to your imagination) the teacher told us that each one of us represented about 30,000 readers, that our thoughts and feeling on the matter would be similar to theirs.  I think the same is true here.

So, enough rambling, already.  Time to get to the point.

My name is Sharon Fowler.  I’m a single working mom.  I live in Beaverton, Oregon with three of my four children (all of which are grown, by the way) and I work as a cafeteria manager at a local elementary school.

Well, I know what you might be thinking.

You might even have that stereotypical picture in you mind (I wouldn’t blame you, you know).  Remember Adam Sandler‘s, The Lunch Lady?  If not, you can find it on You Tube.  Very funny, but it’s not like that at all.  Though I have to admit, when I was young, I used to have the same perception.  But I digress.

My real reason for starting this blog was to document my thoughts and my musings and any information I collect as I start on my journey into the unknown (at least unknown to me) world of the GAPS diet then share what I learn along the way.  I hope you find all of this helpful.  I know I have.

Just remember, we’re all in this together.

PPS:  Oh, and if you’re wondering where the pictures are, I’ll tell you.  I don’t actually have a camera, well, at least besides the one on my cell phone.  When I do, I promise I’ll add some pictures.  Until then, just hang tight.
